They are inexpensive but should not be used 'as is'. Since PLR articles are sold over and over again, you will need to rewrite them to make them unique from the original. For article directories, they need to be a minimum of 40% unique but higher is better.

Using PLR articles can be cost effective since one article can be rewritten several times and submitted to several different directories. The potential for sales resulting from one PLR article is more than worth the cost of purchasing the article. PLR articles are usually sold in packages of ten, so you have quite a resource of articles from that one package.

If your have more than one niche, one package of PLR for each niche will provide article content for a long time. Even if you don't write yourself or find that it takes too long to do all of your own writing, you can use the freelance sites to have articles ghost written for you.

Some sites will offer services for PLR articles to be rewritten for you, too. You do want to make sure that the articles are unique when you use these services. While it is possible to get articles written cheaply, you need to be sure you are getting quality articles.

It can be worth it to pay a little more to get quality content written. Whether you write your own articles or have them ghost written, article marketing is an excellent home business opportunity to consider.
