When most newbies start to market online, they start off with Google Adwords. They load a bunch of keywords into a campaign, pop in an ad and give it a go. They login the next day to discover a few things.
#1. They lost a few hundred dollars on clicks,
#2. They haven't made any sales and
#3. Google disabled their ads!
When the newbie marketer sees this, they think Google Adwords doesn't work, so they give up most of the time. Maybe this happened to you before? If so, don't worry, that happened to me too when I was first starting out. So how do you get around this?
Keep it relevant
The number one thing you need to understand with Google is, you must keep everything relevant! Your ad must be relevant to the keyword you're using for the campaign, as well as your landing page and link (if possible).
So, when you setup a new campaign, don't just put in a bunch of keywords using one ad and think you're going to be successful with it. Every campaign must be relevant.
So, if you have some keywords like this:
Make money
make money online
make money from home
Internet marketing
Internet marketing online
These keywords need to be separated into two different campaigns.
One for the keyword group "make money" and another for the keyword group "Internet marketing".
For each for these campaigns you need to have a relevant ad.
Such as for the ad keyword group "make money":

And for the keyword group "Internet marketing":
[EXAMPLE]

Never promote a direct affiliate link
This is another big reason why many newbies fail with Adwords. They just go to an affiliate program and get a direct affiliate link. Then they advertise that link on Google. DO-NOT do that!
Google will suspend your campaign if you do. They only allow one direct link for any given site. So if you advertise a ClickBank affiliate link on Google, sooner or later they will suspend your campaign. (most of the time within just a day)
All you need to do is, get a URL and redirect that link to your affiliate link. How do you do that?
Just go to:
ExtrasHosting.com and buy a domain name. Then just login, click on your domain control panel and click forward URL. Enter your affiliate link and your done!
Only promote quality products
Chances are, if you are just starting with making money online. You probably don't have your own product yet. If you start off with Google adwords and promoting other peoples products (affiliate marketing), you want to make
sure that the product is high quality and that the product converts!
(Side note: I highly recommend start out with affiliate marketing. It's one of the fastest ways to make money online.)
Read the sales page of the product you want to promote. Would you buy it? Even if you don't need the product, pretend you do. If the sales letter "sells" you. Then it's probably a product that converts well.
